We are spearheading a multi-collegiate research project focused on enhancing the security of operating systems, an initiative that aligns with our mission of adding security at the most basic level of computers.
We have consistently committed our time toward this project from bottom up. Despite having significant time difference as we coordinate times for Pacific and Eastern Time, we have been able to set up a full plan for our next-generation secure desktop OS project. To materialize the project, however, we believe that it is essential for us to be physically present at the same spot with all the necessary resources available as the project is expected to take months of extended hours of effort. Therefore, we propose to do the research full time in UCLA in the coming summer.
As a lifelong open-source contributor, we believe you appreciate the importance of viewing computers at the most fundamental levels. Our shared initiative to enhance operating system security aligns closely with your commitment to nurturing the next generation of critical thinkers who can spot problems in the existing systems and find solutions to them.
